Hotel Jerome has been the social hub of Aspen since its opening in 1889 at the height of the town’s silver boom, known as the place where all great stories were born and are told. As the only Aspen hotel to survive the silver crash, the long pre-ski-resort winters, and the Depression, we’ve seen cowboys ride through our doors, 10th Mountain Division soldiers gather round over pints after training on the slopes, and Hunter S. Thompson holding court during his run for sheriff. You can’t experience Aspen, without experiencing Jerome.
Accommodations
Guest rooms at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen are appointed with custom furnishings, authentic details and modern amenities that embody the mountain spirit of Aspen. Contemporary luxury and historic heritage come together in these generously sized rooms that range from 525 to 1265 square feet. Living spaces feature floor-to-ceiling windows for taking in Aspen’s glorious surroundings, while mounted wooden deer heads, tree-stump lamps and cowhide chairs embody its mountain spirit.
Dining
Hotel Jerome's longstanding tradition of culinary excellence is showcased in a variety of restaurant options, each reflecting innovative, locally inspired menus that incorporate the freshest organic, natural and seasonal ingredients —a time-honored trademark of Auberge Resort restaurants.
Spa
The intimate Auberge Spa, Yarrow, is a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. Drawing from the rich and diverse history of Aspen, the spa program reflects on the traditions of natural healing practiced for centuries here in the Roaring Fork Valley. Incorporating local minerals and medicinal plants used by the Ute Indians to address the needs of skin and body for those who enthusiastically engage in the wide array of Aspen's outdoor activities. We celebrate today's resurgence of natural alternatives and integrate them with leading edge technology to support balance, health and vibrancy.
Activities
Aspen is famous for its endless array of outdoor activities – from skiing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides in the snowy winter to golf, hiking, fly fishing, biking and hot-air ballooning in the summer. The town also hosts a series of world-renowned annual events, including jazz music festivals, film, dance, food and wine festivals, plus theater productions, cultural celebrations and intellectual discussions. Truly, there's never a bad time to visit Aspen because there's always something amazing going on in town.
